About Me

Welcome to my blog!  I love teaching more than almost anything, and I'm so excited to share my classroom experiences with you as I strive to become more and more like the master teachers/mentors/bloggers I've learned so much from.

So, where do I begin?  I grew up in a small Los Angeles suburb, the oldest of four siblings.  We have our squabbles, but they're my best friends.

Even though I teach at a Catholic school now, I grew up going to public schools - even eventually making it to one of the top public schools in the country: UC Berkeley (Go Bears!).

I didn't break my public school streak until I decided to go back to school four years later for my masters and teaching credential at Pepperdine University.

After graduating from Pepperdine, I initially set out to find a job at a public school, but instead, God blessed me with the opportunity to teach 4th grade at a very small Catholic school in Los Angeles County, where I learned a LOT and made some wonderful friends.

Two years later I was led to my current job at a different Catholic school, where I am currently teaching first grade and I couldn't be happier.

I love all things artsy and crafty, and am always excited to try new art projects with my students!  I can't get enough of Pinterest when it comes to getting new ideas for my classroom.

Thank you for following my blog!
